Questa Eunice Alred, 96 year old Vinita resident, went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 28, 2013. Eunice was born in Yale, OK on July 17, 1917 to Charles and Carrie (Richardson) Ellington. She attended and graduated White Oak High School. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church, teaching Sunday School and helping in various church activities. For 25 years she worked as an occupational therapist at Eastern State Hospital. Eunice was a proud member of the Rebeccah Lodge for 75 years, Senior Citizen Representative to the Mayor's Council, and treasurer and manager of the ceramics shop at the senior citizens building. She loved working with ceramics and even ran her own shop behind her home. Survivors include her daughters Phyllis Enos and Geraldine Connor, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, special friend Grant Cullen, a host of nieces and nephews, and senior companions Virginia Selmon and Debra. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband H.M. Alred, and siblings: Henry Ellington, Samuel Ellington, and Leatha LaVerne Ellington Cordry. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Vinita with pastors Steve Holland and Skip McClain officiating.
