Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma 918-253-3222. Reeves "Rusty" Edward Gentry, 78 year old resident of Jay, Oklahoma, passed away on September 17, 2018 at McDonald County Living Center in Anderson, Missouri.
Rusty was born on July 25, 1940 in Vian, Oklahoma. He was the son of Vincent Eugene and Ethel (Scantlin) Gentry. During his childhood, Rusty traveled with his family to both California and Nevada to work the citrus farms. So Rusty knew the value of hard work. He didn't learn by watching, he learned by doing. Rusty worked in the aircraft industry, he worked for Boeing, Cessna's, Bell Helicopters and was currently employed by Orizon Air where he was a de-bur technician. He was united in marriage to Beverly Sloan in Ft. Smith, Arkansas in the summer of 1984. Rusty and Beverly were living in Newkirk, Oklahoma when in September 1995; they decided it was time to come home to Jay, Oklahoma. He enjoyed farming, fishing with his mother, metal detecting, riding his motorcycle, and shooting his guns. But most of all; Rusty loved spending time with his family and family pets. Rusty attended the Jay Free Holiness Church.
Rusty was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Beverly (Sloan) Gentry, his daughter Rebecca Glover and husband Jason of Spavinaw, three adorable grandchildren; Rusty Aycock, Bradley Aycock, and Riley Glover, one brother and one sister.
