Rena Shouse

Benjamin Funeral Service - Nowata, Oklahoma Rena (Carolin Eva) (Moore) Shouse passed away May 17, 2014 at the Nowata Nursing Center. She was born on November 19, 1917 to Frank and Rosina (Seifert) Moore. She married Jess F. Shouse on November 15, 1939 in Henryetta, Okmulgee County, Oklahoma. She was very active in her church, The First Christian Church of Nowata, and Eastern Star. She had served as Grand Worthy Matron of Oklahoma. Rena is survived by one sister, Jewell and husband Lee Hanny of Ash Grove, Missouri; two brothers, Jack F. Moore and wife Colleen of Topeka, Kansas, Bill R. Moore and wife Shirley of Parsons, Kansas; sister-in-laws Lela Moore of Joplin and Rosie Shouse of Parsons. She leaves many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, friends in Nowata and church family. Rena is preceded in death by her husband Jess on January 25, 2005; her father Frank on November 27, 1968; her mother Rosina on June 6, 1995; her brother Herbert on June 14, 2001; her nephew Bradford Haney on August 27, 1972. Funeral services are 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the First Christian Church with Rev. Robert Crawford officiating. Interment will follow at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery.
