Richard A. Combs, age 52 and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away in Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, on Wednesday, February 27, 2019.
Richard Alan Combs was born on June 3, 1966 in Coldwater, Kansas. He was the son of James E. Combs and Sharon (Clark) Combs. He was raised in Kansas where he received his formal education. He moved to Bartlesville with his mother, Sharon, in 2005. He was employed with Asplundh Tree Trimming Service as a tree trimmer. In the last two months, he had been unable to work due to medical issues.
Richard was raised in the Baptist faith. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy Fan and he almost never missed any of the games on TV. He loved his family, especially his mother, with whom he was very close. He also had a little weenie-dog named Penny. He will be missed by all his family and many, many friends.
Survivors include his mother, Sharon Height; children, Nicole Nicodemus and her husband, Josh of Baltimore, Ohio. Tasha Burton of Solomon, Kansas, and Cody Combs of Omaha, Nebraska; five grandchildren; three sisters, Debbie Fitts of Bartlesville, Sherry Totton and her husband, Trace of Hays, Kansas, and Karen Hamilton and her spouse, Kenneth of Bartlesville.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Gladys Clark.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Noon, in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home chapel, 710 S. Dewey Ave. Rev. Troy Miller, a life-long friend, will officiate.
