Richard Leach

Richard Earnest Leach, 85, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008 in Joplin, Missouri. Richard was born in Catoosa, Oklahoma on May 19, 1922, to Charlie and Olive (Click) Leach. He later married Ethel Marie Johnson on April 19, 1982. Richard worked as a minister at the Claremore Sequoia Full Gospel Church in Claremore, OK. Earlier in his life he worked as a general laborer, building high-rise buildings. Richard loved to raise his garden, and raised enough for his family and more. People knew Richard as a generous man who was always ready share with others. He loved to share his Christian faith with anyone he met. He loved people, and people loved him in return. He enjoyed hunting coons, and was known to have good coon dogs. Richard is survived by his wife, Ethyl Leach, of the home in Ketchum, OK. He is also survived by his four children: Rex Moorehead and wife Daisy of Ketchum; Archie Moorhead and his wife Sherrie of Ketchum; Donna Bass and her husband Bill of Sapulpa, OK and son, R.E. Leach. He is also survived and will be missed by nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita, Oklahoma. Pastor Wayne Phillips will preside. Visitation will take place Friday evening from 7pm until 8pm. Burial at the Ketchum Cemetery will immediately follow the funeral. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral home of Vinita.
