Richard Floyd Stager, 94, was born January 7, 1920 in Allen County, Ohio to Gertrude Fay (Pearson) and Guy Francis Stager. He left this life here on earth Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the ST. Johns Medical Center in Tulsa. Mr. Stager was a retired oil field worker and spent most of his life in the oil field working for Layton Oil Company and Harmon White Hill Oil Company. Mr. Stager was also a WWII Veteran and very loyal to his military career. He enjoyed discussing his experience in the military and served his country with dedication and commitment. Richard is survived by his wife Alta Irene Stager of 49 years of marriage; three nieces, Patsy Legrand of Florida, Pansey Sebert of Nowata, Carolyn Stover of Nowata, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews of both sides of the family. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Gladys Lewis, Dorothy Tippit; a niece, Betty Thompson; four great nephews, Gerald Lee Tippit, Richard Hendricks, James W. Hendricks, Stephen Stover, and lots of friends. Funeral services for Richard are 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Dean Bridges officiating.
