It is with deep sorrow and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Robert Eugene Armstrong, age 90, on November 22, 2024, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished community member, Robert’s life was defined by his faith, family, and service to others.

Born in Neosho, Missouri, on August 31, 1934, Robert (Bob) was the son of Eugene Earl Armstrong and Wilma Clarene (Daniels) Armstrong. Bob grew up in Bowling Green, Kentucky and Bartlesville, Oklahoma and graduated from College High School in 1952 in Bartlesville. He went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma in 1957 where he was a proud member of the Sigma Chi fraternity.

Following his graduation, Bob began a distinguished career with Phillips Petroleum Company, where he worked in marketing over three decades before retiring in 1991. This career took him to Texas, Oklahoma, Florida & Georgia. His work ethic and commitment to excellence earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and peers.

On June 7, 1957, Bob married the love of his life, Sherry Jo Reno, with whom he shared 67 years of love, joy, and adventure. Together, they raised a family of four children and were blessed with 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Bob was a man of strong faith, and he was an active member of First Baptist Church in Bartlesville for many years. His service as a deacon was a testament to his dedication to his church and his commitment to serving others. His kindness, humility, and devotion to his community left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Sherry Jo (Reno) Armstrong, and their children: Tami (Rick) Stull, Teri (David) Hightower, Alan (Shelly) Armstrong, and Amy (Brian) Kinney. He was the proud grandfather of Ryan (Shayna) Stull, Staci (Zach) Schnorrenberg, Ashlee Hightower, Caitlin (Bretton) Crane, Molly (Stephen) Williams, Claire (Parker) Biggs, Kylee (Tyler) Magee, Jarret Armstrong, Gabrielle Armstrong, Jayme (Connor) Berry, Seth Kinney, and Carson Kinney and 10 great grandchildren. Bob also leaves behind his brother, Bill Armstrong, as well as a large and loving extended family and many dear friends.

In honoring Bob's life, we celebrate his legacy of integrity, love, and service. He leaves behind a world better for having known him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to be part of his life.

A graveside family service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville. There will be a memorial service announced at a later date. 

Bob will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
