ARNOLD MOORE & NEEKAMP FUNERAL HOME, BARTLESVILLE, OK (918) 336-5225 - Robert C. Case, age 92 and longtime resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away in Jane Phillips Medical Center on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Robert Charles Case (Bob) was born September 12, 1924 in Cameron, Missouri to James Maynard and Bertha Matilda Case. He met his wife, Joyeleene (Joy), while they both served in the Army during World War II. They were married on July 7, 1945. Bob graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1950, and worked for Phillips Petroleum Company for 28 years. Over the years, Bob served as a Little League Coach, Boy Scout Counselor, key member of the Tuxedo Lions Club, and a Polling Place Volunteer. At Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church, he was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it meant fixing something, greeting guests, or being a member of the Missions Committee. Bob and Joy made multiple mission trips to Venezuela, Panama, and Colorado. His humble service for others was a reflection of his deep, abiding faith in Jesus Christ. Bob was the quintessential member of the greatest generation, someone who worked hard without complaint, from a young age, to serve and support his loved ones. Besides using his sharp mind and practical engineering skills, he enjoyed fishing, woodcarving, and reading. He was a kind, steadfast, giving, loyal man, and he will be missed deeply. Bob is survived by his wife of 71 years, Joy; brothers, Leslie and Marvin Case, and sister, Mary Johnson; two daughters: Bobbie Dearing and Janice Jones; one son: Steve Case; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Bob's memory be made to Tuxedo Lion's Club or to the Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church. Come and go visitation will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 AM-8:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave. A memorial service for Mr. Case will be held at 2:00 PM in the Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church, 5111 Nowata Rd., Bartlesville. Pastor Jim Griffin will officiate. A private family graveside service will be held prior to the memorial service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Arnold Moore and Neekamp Funeral Home.
