Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com. Robert Lee Collier, 79, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born February 8, 1938 in Nowata to Cleo and Beulah (Pierce) Collier. Robert graduated from Nowata High School, and on April 30, 1966 he married the love of his life Shirley Sewell in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a member of the United States Army serving his country from June 18, 1963 until June 17, 1965. He was a salesman for medical supplies and was a past member and deacon of the North Sheridan Church of Christ in Tulsa, past member of the Adams Blvd. Church of Christ, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and current member of the Church of Christ in Keller, Texas. He was very active in his church and enjoyed worshiping his Lord. Robert was an avid OU fan and enjoyed golfing, tennis, playing catch and anything sports related. He was a patient, giving, gentle man with a strong will and determination. The most important thing about Robert was the love he had for his family. His wife, children, grandson, and other family members held a special place in his heart. All his family felt his love throughout their lives. He will be missed by all who knew him. Robert is survived by his wife Shirley of the home; three children, Warren Collier and wife Karla of Bartlesville, Debra Worley and husband Jason of Colleyville, Texas, Sherry Larkin of Carrollton, Texas; three siblings, Dorothy Sellars, Mary Reynolds, Harold Collier, one grandson, Warren Joseph Collier, many other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Beulah Collier and a brother, John Collier. Memorials in Robert's name may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project at PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517 or the Hope Harbor Children's Home at PO Box 1047 Claremore, Oklahoma 74018. Arrangements have been entrusted to Benjamin Funeral Service.
