Robert Dummitt

Worley - Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261. Robert Junior Dummitt, age 89, of Grove Oklahoma passed away January 4, 2016 at Grove Integris Hospital. He was born to Robert S. Dummitt and Nettie (Huffaker) Dummitt on June 12, 1926. Robert was raised in Delaware County and lived his entire life in this area except for his service to his country in World War II. Robert first served in the US army and then the navy. After his discharge he married Jean Peterman who preceded him in death in 2011. They were married for 64 years. Robert was a crane operator and heavy equipment, and also trucking in Grove and Delaware County. He is survived by his two children: daughter Janie Booth and husband John of Grove Ok., son Joe Dummitt and wife Kay of Grove, OK three Grandchildren Tawni Pettigrove and husband John, of Denver Colorado, Taryn Branscum and husband Jake of Collinsville, OK, Alicia Kirksey and husband Andrew of Pittsburg Ks., 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, beloved wife Jean and 19 half brothers and sisters. Graveside Services will be January 6, 2016, Wednesday at Southwest City Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Chester Crittenden officiating.
