Robert Sherwood Grandin Robert "Bob" Sherwood Grandin passed away on June 14, 2012 in Bartlesville. He was born on December 24, 1928 to Gladys and Robert Grandin in Bristow, OK. He graduated from Bristow High School in 1947 and enjoyed many high school reunions with his friends since then. He graduated from Mortuary School, in St. Louis, Missouri in 1949 and married Barbara Jean Eckroat on September 21, 1950. They had two sons, Robert Michael "Mike" Grandin and Mark Sherwood Grandin. Bob worked for Garrison Funeral Home in Oklahoma City until 1954, Benjamin Funeral Home in Nowata until 1956, and then moved to Bartlesville where he worked for Phillips Petroleum Company for 15 years then Major Leasing Company for 11 years, then back to Phillips for another 5 years, ending in June 1986 when he retired. Bob was full of life, independent, and always willing to help. A fine wood craftsman, he had a tool for any job, and an idea of how to fix anything. He enjoyed dancing in Ball Room, Square and Western styles and loved entertaining his friends at his Grand Lake property as well as fishing and boating. He was an active member of Disciples Christian Church in Bartlesville and loved playing dominoes with his friends. Bob is survived by one sister, Marjorie Carmen Skeehan and her husband Ray of Denver Colorado, and his sons Mike Grandin and his wife Angie from Guthrie Kentucky, and Mark Grandin and his wife Susan, from Jacksonville, Florida. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, and his parents. A memorial service was held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2012 at the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Services were under the direction of Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home.
