Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK- 918-786-2261....... Robert L. Kallsen was called to the Lord peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2014 while he was at home in Jay, OK with his daughter, Rashell by his side. He was 79 years of age. Robert was born to Ernest and Fredda Kallsen on October 31st, 1934. He was born in Derby, Colorado, in a little farm house on 2nd creek. Growing up Robert worked on the family farm. He graduated from Brighton High School in 1952. In school he was on the track, football, and wrestling teams. Robert enjoyed rodeoing in saddle bronc and bull riding as well. In 1954 Robert enlisted in the United States Army. He proudly served in Korea, Vietnam, and Germany. He was Special Forces, Green Beret with the 101st Airborne. He was also a bridge engineer instructor at West Point. He served the United States of America from 1954 through 1974. Robert enjoyed traveling, old westerns, and most of all spending time with his family. He was a very family-oriented man and a man of his word. Robert has one sister and two brothers: Carol - 1937, Kent - 1941 (deceased), and Rick - 1944. Robert has three children: Jock - 1964, Tracy - 1966, and Rashell - 1970. He has four grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Robert's wishes were for memorial contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society, Attn. Tulsa Office, 4110 S. 100th East Ave., Ste 101, Tulsa, OK 74146. A graveside service will be held at the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, AR on Monday, April 21, 2014 at 2PM with Rev. Stephen McClain, presiding. A reception will follow at the Hickory Creek Baptist Church, 13244 Hickory Creek Rd., Lowell, AR at 3:30 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK.
