Robert Russell Lippert, age72, a resident of Bartlesville died on Friday August 3, 2007 in the Jane Phillips Medical Center. Bob was born June 15, 1935, in Oklahoma City, Okla.., to Russell A. and Mary L. (Mitchell) Lippert. They moved to Bartlesville, Okla., when he was 2 years old. He attended College High where he was a spring board diver and he graduated in 1953. He then attended North East State College for 1 year before entering the United States Navy in 1954. He graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1982 with a Bachelor's degree in Business. He spent 22 years in the Navy as a Electronics Tech. flying in Sea Planes manning the radar and radio on the plane. He served in Bermuda during the Bay of Pigs. He went to Vietnam in 1969 where he flew on Ov10's and finished his tour in 1970. His service in the Navy was served in Bermuda, Norfolk, Va., Lexington Park, Md., and Brunswick, Maine. He retired from the Navy in April of 1975 and went to work for Rockwell International in Dallas, Texas, where he was a Logistics Manager. He retired from Rockwell in January of 1991. He married Ella M. (Horner) Lippert in Sand Springs, Okla. on December 26, 1956. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary December 2006. Upon retirement from Rockwell, Bob became an avid golfer at the Adams Golf course in Bartlesville. Bob enjoyed dancing with Ella, he had taken dance lessons from the Arthur Murray School of Dance as a young man, and he and Ella were often on the dance floor. They took up square dancing in 1992 and danced with Jane Phillips and Swinging Squares. Mr. Lippert is survived by three children: Vicki L., married to Steven Mieir of Tampa, Fla., they have five children, Shauna, 26, Kira, 25, Aaron, 21, who is serving in the Marines in Japan, Andrew, 18, and Clay, 13; Susan A. Camp of Bartlesville, she has two children, Sean, 17, who serves in the Army, and Kinzie, 12; and Robert Rustin, married to Dagmar Lippert of Copperus Cove, Texas, Rusty is currently serving the Army in Iraq, he and Daggy have four children, Riki, 23, who serves in the Army at Fort Campbell, Ky., Ryan, 5, Carine, 4, and Raydon, 8mos. He is preceded in death by his parents Russell A. and Mary L. (Mitchell) Lippert and his sister Jane Briek. Memorial services will be held on Thursday August 9, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in the Colonial Chapel of the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Dershem officiating. Services are under the direction of the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
