Robert Leroy Sasser was born December 19, 1942 in Visalia, California. The family moved to Oklahoma when he was two, where he lived the rest of his life, with the exception of four years Robert served in the Navy. Robert passed away on January 10, 2009 in Vinita, Oklahoma. He and Linda Jo Richards were united in marriage on March 28, 1962 and together they raised three daughters. In addition to his family, his greatest enjoyment came for the outdoors in the form of hunting, fishing, and gardening. He loved sharing with others the results of these activities. He was also an accomplished woodworker. He is survived by his wife, Linda, three daughters, Robin and Carl Scott of Langley, Sharon and Denny Ruggles of Langley, and Darla and Allen Seman of Grove, seventeen grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters, along with numerous niece's, nephews and many special friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Ivy Sasser, one brother, five sisters, and one nephew. Friends are invited to join the family on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Strang, OK for a potluck dinner and to share memories.
