Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma, 918-786-2261. Robert "Bob" Schoenfeld, 79-year-old Monkey-Island resident passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017. Bob was born on July 3, 1938 in St. Paul, Minnesota and adopted by William and Marguerite (Hilderbrand) Schoenfeld. After graduating from Tulsa Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bob attended the College of Westminster in Fulton, Missouri. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked as a mortgage banker in Tulsa, Oklahoma for over 18 years. One of Bob's proudest achievements was graduating from Rogers State University in Claremore in 1989 as a Drug and Alcohol rehabilitation counselor. After graduating in 1989, he became a counselor at the House of Hope Inc. Recovery Center in Grove, Oklahoma, where he found his life's passion and he worked there until retiring in 2017. During his time at the House of Hope, Bob touched numerous lives and was an inspiration to all and his closest friends. Bob was also a 28 year old friend of Bill W. Bob was an avid Oklahoma Sooner sports fan, he enjoyed traveling, going on cruises; especially to Alaska. He loved playing golf with his buddies, fishing and spending time with his family and beloved friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marguerite, and a sister Linda Rychel. Bob is survived by his nephew Chris Rychel and wife Terry of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and their two children Ryan Rychel and wife Sarah, and Kaycee Rychel and Nick Coday, also of Tulsa, Oklahoma, a God daughter, Charlotte Parmley of Grove, Oklahoma, and granddaughter Natasha Beaver of Grove, Oklahoma. Funeral Services for Bob will be Held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma. An open visitation will be held from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM the day of the funeral.
