Robert W. "Bobby" Webb, 66-year-old Nowata resident passed away at his home, Friday, July 10, 2009. Mr. Webb was born October 11, 1942 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to L.R. and Ara (Truitt) Webb. He graduated from high school in Elk City, Oklahoma and later went on to serve his country in the United States Army Reserves. Mr. Webb worked in a manufacturing plant in Oklahoma City for several years and had most recently been cattle ranching and raising race horses. On October 22, 1992 Mr. Webb married Patricia Stockton in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The two located to their current residence where they have continued their passion for horses. Mr. Webb was a member of the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Association where he also served as a board member. He was also a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association and a member of the East Bartlesville Christian Church. When he wasn't riding, racing, or training horses, he also enjoyed fishing and golf. Mr. Webb is survived by his wife, Patricia of the home; by four children, Liz Webb of Edmond, Randy Webb and his wife Brandy of Oklahoma City, Glenn Webb of Washington state, and Heath Webb of Clinton; by a daughter-in-law, Debra Webb of Sayer, Oklahoma; by two step-children, Michael Park of Tulsa and Brian Park of Tulsa; by three sisters, Bobbette York and her husband Mike of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Rosa Phillips of Tulsa, Darlene Coleman and her husband Rick of Tulsa; by one brother, Rick Webb and his wife Doreen of Houston; by 7 grandchildren; and by a special aunt, Ruby Webb of Hamilton, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a daughter, Kara Lynette. Pallbearers for the service include Michael Park, Brian Park, Kevin York, David Norris, Barrett Norris, and Clint Swanson. Honorary Pallbearers will include Mike Williams, Ralph Shannon, Tony Marburger, Roscoe Miller, Berlie Pyle, Richard Morgan, Garland Hinkle, David Caughell, Doug Speir, Mike Boultinghouse. Funeral services for Mr. Webb will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the Hillside Christian Church in Nowata with Ben Killion officiating.
