Robert Woodard

Robert A. "Bob" Woodard, 69 year old Vinita Resident died Saturday October 1, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was born October 23, 1941 in Paulding, Ohio the son of Robert C. Woodard and Betty Jane Roberts Woodard. He was raised and educated in Payne, Ohio and earned an associate's degree in business at I U at Purdue. Bob and Carole Seibert were united in marriage February 16, 1962 in Fort Wayne Indiana. He worked in factory management at Centrilift and Dana Corporation where he retired. The family moved to Vinita in 1984 from Payne Ohio and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Vinita Masonic Lodge, and The Sons of the American Legion. Bob was an avid fan of College football especially Ohio State University and Oklahoma State University, the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians also he loved NASCAR racing, gardening, playing golf and puttering and tinkering. Bob leaves behind his wife of 49 years Carole of the home, his children Kathy White of Vinita, Robert C. Woodard and his wife Debbie of Antwerp, Ohio, and Pat "Pug" Woodard of Vinita. Brothers and sisters include, Sam and Karen Woodard of Pigeon Forge, TN, Michael and Shelly Woodard of Kettering, OH, Jane and Leo Stumphy of Defiance, OH and Joan and Jim Riley of Paulding, OH and many nieces and nephews. Box 373 Vinita, OK 74301 Funeral services will be Tuesday October 4, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church at 10:00 with Reverend George Gilland officiating under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
