Robin was born on November 19, 1940 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Rosemary Keith Oliver and Jack H. Oliver. He attended and graduated from the Coffeyville school system and pursued further education at Oklahoma University. He graduated from Tulsa University with a BS BA in Economics. He also began his doctorate while attending Tulsa University. He was hired by Phillips Petroleum Company and worked in Crude Oil Supply, from where he retired. He was honored to be a member of the Tyro Christian Church in Tyro, Kansas. Robin was granted All American status in Track and Field, won the National Collegiate Javelin Championship, and was headed to the Olympic trials when he was side lined by a serious injury. He was well known for his athletic achievements. Robin served six years in the United States Army after which he was honorably discharged. He loved animals and had a tender heart for strays, which became a family member. He was preceded in death by Rowena Jean Wright (sister), Rosemary Keith Oliver Wright (mother), Donna Day - Oliver, to whom he was formerly married, Jack Herbert Oliver (father), and Jon Oliver (brother). Robin is survived by his best friend and the love of his life Letha Erkenbrack, Ben Erkenbrack, who was like a son to him, one brother Alan Oliver of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Doug Keith (1st cousin) and wife Irene of San Ramon, California, John (Jay) Keith (1st cousin) and wife Elizabeth of Lubbock, Texas, Dianne Keith Anderson of Tukalani, Hawaii, as well as other numerous cousins and relatives.
