Roger Blake Foster, 55, of Nowata, OK passed away at his home on September 5, 2011. He was born to Charles and Lela (Gooch) Foster on May 16, 1956 in Nowata. Mr. Foster graduated from Delaware High School. He joined the Air Force in December of 1975 and later was married to Lisa Pattison. He worked as an electrician for several contractors. Roger enjoyed hunting as a younger man and playing pool. He was later married Donna Yirsa. Roger was a member of the VFW and really was proud of his service in the Air Force. He enjoyed playing softball but most of all enjoyed his grandchildren. For the last 3 years, he was employed at Homeland. Roger is survived by two daughters, Bethany Blaine Rodriquez and husband Justin of Nowata, Julia Renee' Fowler of Delaware; three grandchildren, Xander Rodriguez, Ahriana Rodriguez, and Logan Fowler; two sisters, Kay Owens of Nowata and Carla Sykes and husband Terry of Delaware; three brothers, Russell Foster and wife Patti of Nowata, Danny Barnett of Delaware, and Rick Baker of Edmond, and several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews. Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lela Foster, grandparents Corbett and Minnie Gooch and John and Goldie Mae Foster; two brothers, Rory Blaine Foster and Rodney Stewart Foster and one brother in law, Billy Ray Smith. Funeral services for Mr. Foster will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 8, 2011 at the Living Word Family Church with Rev. Gerald Huntington officiating. Interment will follow at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service. Online condolences can be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
