Ronald Lee Palmer, age 62 of Vinita, died Monday, October 11, 2010. Ronald was born in St. Louis, MO on September 22, 1948, the son of Normalee Crenshaw. He served in the Marine Corp from 1968-1972 during Vietnam. He was united in marriage to Harriett Hallmark on November 10, 1973 in El Paso, IL and together they raised three daughters. Ronald graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelors of Science degree. He worked as an accountant for Dana (Eaton) Corporation numerous years before retiring. He was also a member of the American Legion Dale Peace Post #40 of Vinita. Ronald enjoyed camping, riding his motorcycle, swimming, working with computers, barbeques, and family gatherings. Survivors include his wife Harriett Palmer of the home, daughters: Christina Webb of Chelsea, Sheila Davis of Vinita, and Amy Fair and husband Wayne of Vinita, sister Cheryl Emery of El Paso, IL, brother Kenneth Wayne Palmer of Gridley, IL, and five grandchildren: Nathan Palmer, Sheronna Fair, Kyla Webb, Dalin Fair, and Hanna Webb. He was preceded in death by his step-dad Kenneth Hussemann. Visitation will be Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 6-7 p.m. at the Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2010 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
