Ronald Wayne Ring, 61, of Fairland, Oklahoma died early Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at his home following a courageous two-year battle with multiple illnesses. Ronald was born November 20, 1947 in Hastings, Nebraska to Loren and Doris (Griffith) Ring. He graduated from Hutchinson High School in Hutchinson, Kansas. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Ronald was a salesman for Lee's Grand Lake Home Sales in Grove. Ronald loved camping and fishing. He especially enjoyed fishing for white bass and catfish. On May 18, 2000, Ronald married the love of his life, Theresa Pruitt. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include one daughter, Jeannette Kiser and her husband David of Coffeyville, Kansas; one son, Kenneth Ring and his wife Heidi of Clay Center, Kansas; two step-daughters, Alisha Childers of Jay, Oklahoma and Alisa Forbis of Brownwood, Texas; one sister, Cheryl Brown and her husband Tom of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two brothers, John Ring and his wife Carolyn of Manhattan, Kansas and Richard Ring and his wife Margaret of Haven, Kansas; three grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Ronald was a very compassionate man who went out of his way to help others. It was his wish, that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to any children's hospital to help children.
