Ronald Sullivan

July 31, 1953 — May 20, 2009

Ronald Sullivan, age 55, of Dewey, Oklahoma went home to the arm of God Tuesday, May 20 after injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born July 31, 1953 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Bob and Mary Sullivan. He attended Schools in Pratville and was a 1971 graduate of Sperry High School. He attended Tulsa Junior College and served in the U.S. Navy. While growing up in Osage County outside of Tulsa, he was active in FFA and enjoyed playing Bluegrass music and had a natural ability with most musical instruments. All that Ron ever had in life he was happy to share with others, but perhaps his greatest gift to us all was his ability to love and cherish his family and to make each person he met part of his family as well. Ron was a worker at Tulsa aircraft companies for many years, most recently at Spirit of Tulsa. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association and found great joy serving in fun and fellowship with the people he rode with and their shared goal of spreading the gospel. He is survived by his parents, Bob and Mary Sullivan of Nowata; his daughter, Tisha Sullivan of Bartlesville; step-son, Austin Caldwell of Bixby; his sister, Kathy Blue (Paul) of Syracuse, New York plus numerous other relatives and a universe of friends and loved ones who will miss him dearly. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Living Word Family Church in Nowata, officiated by Rev. Jim Winslow and Darren Shipman. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Home
