Ronnie Bingham

Ronnie Joe Bingham, age 73, entered his Heavenly home on January 25, 2017 after a sudden illness. Ronnie was born January 3, 1944 in Vinita to Leonard and Dorothy (Holston) Bingham. He attended Vinita Schools and lived in Vinita his entire life. He proudly served in the United States Army National Guard. Ronnie worked at Carter's, Safeway, Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, and was well known as a self-employed painter. He was known by many as a singer and guitar player, playing in several groups at churches, nursing homes, and local events. He loved, and was gifted at, restoring old furniture. He greatly loved playing with his grandsons who affectionately called him Pops. He never knew a stranger and was known for his stories and his smile. Ronnie is survived by son Mark Bingham and wife Misty of Vinita, grandsons Riley and Brady Bingham of Vinita, siblings Lib Landers and husband Ilo of Vinita, Flora May Upshaw and husband Bob of Vinita, June Hicks of Vinita, Judy Fowler of Missouri, Jimmy Bingham of California, Jerry Bingham and wife Norene of Miami, Mary Alice Bible and husband Jim of Vinita, and Adah Jewel Nair and husband Johnny of Vinita, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents, sisters Betty Bingham and Ella Johnson, brother Bob Bingham, brother in law Herman Hicks, and infant siblings Loma May, Wanda Lee, Tommy Jean, Yvonne Lou. At his request, services will be graveside at Fairview Cemetery, Friday, January 27, 2017 at 10 am with Robert Sanders officiating. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in his memory to the Vinita FFA. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com. Arrangements are by the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.
