Rosa Mae Peterson, 87 year old rural Vinita resident (White Oak), passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at the Craig General Hospital in Vinita. She was born on May 7, 1927 in White Oak to Frank and Rosa (Harvey) Bobb. Rosa attended Kelly School, and later she worked at TRW Cinch in Vinita for 15 years. Rosa was married to Martin Peterson who preceded her in death. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, number find puzzles and gardening. Rosa really enjoyed going to the Prairie Rose Café in Chelsea for breakfast and eating out at Catfish John's in Grove or the Country Cottage in Locust Grove. Rosa was the last full blood Loyal Shawnee Tribe Member. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two children, Marlene Bobb and Sanford Peterson. The family includes: her children, Arliss Secondine, Avis Bright and Ardith "Wes" Peterson and companion Russell Boyce; grandchildren, Melanie Howard and husband Jarrod, Alex and Vicki Boyce, Kaleb Bright; great-grandchildren, Nate Howard, Brynlee Boyce, Makennah O'Neill and John Fenstermacher the 5th. The family will hold the Wake at their home on Wednesday April 8, 2015, starting at 2:00 PM. The graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Bobb Family Cemetery, west of White Oak, with George Blanchard officiating.
