Benjamin Funeral Service - Rosalee Faye Nichols, 75, of Nowata, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville surrounded by her family. She was born February 13, 1940 in Nowata to Mildred (Tatum) and Albert C. Armstrong. Growing-up Rosie attended the Armstrong Church in the Armstrong Indian District. Rosalee was a 1958 graduate of Nowata High School. Upon graduation she remained in the Nowata area to stay close to her family. She was married to Garold Gene Nichols and they had one daughter- Deborah. Rosie and her husband enjoyed square dancing and were officers in their club. In 1975 Gene and Rosie divorced and she devoted the rest of her life to raising and supporting her family. She was the manager of Pizza Hut in Nowata for several years and ran a thriving business. Rosie was loved and appreciated by employees and customers because she ran the business like a family. In 1995 her love and devotion to children eventually led her to her next job as the head cook at Wauhillau Head Start. Rosie retired in 2003 but her life did not slow down. She volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club as a mentor. Rosie's biggest passion in life was her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She devoted her life to making sure her family was happy and had everything they wanted and needed. In her pastime she enjoyed fishing and was an avid Nascar fan. Her all-time favorite racer was Dale Earnhardt Jr. She is going to be greatly missed by all that knew her. Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Dunn and her husband Brian of Nowata; a brother, Howard Armstrong and wife Murial of Bartlesville; three grandchildren, Jeremy Rian Dunn and wife Lindsey, Brian Michael Dunn and wife Brittany, Jeff Sutton, a special niece, Brenda Savala, and two great grandchildren, Dawsyn Rosalee Dunn, and Rian Jonathon Dunn, and special friends Panzy Seabert, Bonnie Crossland, and Patricia Schaffer. Rosalee is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mildred Armstrong; five siblings, Floyd Armstrong, Luey Jane Armstrong, Sue Dick, Garnett Mullikan, Mary Georgeanne Sutton.
