Rose Mary Coppedge, age 84, a resident of Vinita died Monday April 12, 2010 at OSU Medical Center in Tulsa. She was born February 4, 1926 in Vinita the daughter of Glenn Corlett and Cathrine Chandler Corlett. She was raised and educated in Vinita graduating from Vinita High School and attended NSU at Tahlequah. Rose was a nursing assistant and worked many years at Autumn Homes in Vinita retiring in 1987. She was a member of The First United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading, fishing, crocheting and traveling, but mostly spending time with her family and grandchildren. Survivors include one son and daughter in law, John and Debbie Coppedge of Claremore, OK, daughters, Barbara and John Stewart of Claremore, Jo Ann Sumby of Afton, OK, Kay Coppedge of Foyil, OK, nine grand children, 12 great grand children and four great- great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Buford in 1989, two sons, Glenn and Jerry Coppedge, one grandchild and two great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be Thursday April 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Vinita with Rev. George Vaughn officiating under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
