Rosie Lee Kennard Ledman, 62, of Coffeyville passed away Monday, September 15, 2014 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. She was born January 10, 1952 in Lenapah to James and Georgia (Moore) Kennard. Rosie was a 1970 Graduate of Lenapah High School and worked at the Coffeyville Hospital for 31 years in the laundry department. She was married to Maurice Brown and to this union a daughter, Marissa Brown was born. She was a faithful member of the Saint John Church of Faith and spent many hours studying her bible as well as serving her church as an usher and hospitality worker. She was a member of the Daughters of Faith, a ladies group affiliated with her church. Rosie also enjoyed gardening in her rock garden and being outdoors watching birds and small animals. She always had a smile on her face and loved her family and friends with all her heart. She will be missed by all who knew her. Survivers include Rosie's companion, Neal Martin of Coffeyville; a daughter, Marissa Brown of Coffeyville; three siblings, Prentis Johnson of Wichita, KS, Naomi Sweeney of Minot, ND., Jerry Kennard and his wife Janice of Coffeyville; special friend Bershawn Johnson; nieces Marcia Kennard and Tia Freeman; a special great niece that was loved like a granddaughter, Taniah Norwood; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family. Rosie is preceded in death by her parents, and four siblings, Raymond Kennard, Jamesanna Kennard Thomas, Nathaniel Kennard, and Robert Kennard.
