Roxanne Elizabeth Long, passed away at her home on Friday, July 6, 2012 at the age of 59. Roxanne was born in Gastonia, NC, the daughter of the late George Lang and Helen (Story) Lang. She enjoyed reading and studying the Bible, walking in the creek, but most of all she loved being around her grandkids. Everyone that met Roxanne knew she was someone special. She spoke God's love over and to anyone she met. She would meet strangers and would listen to them and care for them. Her friends knew she was there for them no matter what, and that she was always praying for them and helping in any way she could. Anyone who knew Roxanne would tell you how much she loved her son and her grandkids, and she would gladly show you any pictures she had of them, and she had a lot. Saying she will be greatly missed does not even begin to describe how those who love her feel. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Leonard Long; son Christopher Lang and daughter in law Kerry Lang of Las Cruces, NM; two grandchildren: Sadie and Levi Lang; four brothers: Ricky Lang, Randy Lang, Robert Lang, and Ronnie Lang; along with other relatives and friends. The graveside service will be held at the Dry Creek Cemetery in Kenwood, OK on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 10AM with her pastor Roy Evans of North Star Church of Pryor, presiding. Visitation will be from 6PM to 7PM on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK.
