Roy Ramseyer Sr.

Roy Dean Ramseyer Sr. age 81 formerly a resident of Vinita died Friday August 5, 2011 at Lindsay Municipal Hospital at Lindsay. He was born February 6, 1930 at Mt. View, Missouri the son of Andrew Ray Ramseyer and Lella Clarice Specklmeir Ramseyer. Roy was raised and educated at Mt. View and moved to Vinita in the early 1950's where he worked as an OTR truck driver for the US Postal service from 1963 until 1975 delivering bulk mail and also was a taxi driver from 1965 to 1979 in Vinita. Roy enjoyed rodeos, watching western movies gardening, woodworking and writing poetry. Ray Dean Ramseyer & his wife Heather of Vinita, Roy (Pete) Ramseyer Jr. of Vinita, Robert Ramseyer of South Dakota, Connie Johnson of Vinita, Pamela Smith & husband Grover of Vinita, Debbie Mittrusker of Spencer, Iowa, Margaret McMonigle and Jackie Hendren, 15 grand children 16 great grand children and granddaughter and caretaker Theia Sands and her husband Craig also numerous nieces nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday August 9, 2011 at White Oak Cemetery with Boolie Forrest officiating under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
