Roy Woolman

Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, 918-256-5555, -- Roy Franklin Woolman, long time Vinita area resident, passed away Aug. 10, 2015, at the age of 61. Roy was known as a hard working man with a big heart who loved his family and felt the next best thing to family was a neighbor. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed taking care of his land and cattle. He also loved taking care of his grandchildren and attending any event they were in. Roy was born to Clyde and Roberta Woolman on Sept. 12, 1953, in Vinita. He graduated from Bluejacket High School and went on to work as a maintenance man and custodian at Vinita Public Schools for over 30 years before he retired in 2004. Roy also owned several small businesses including R&S Deer Processing and Remembrance Crematorium. Roy is preceded in death by his father, Clyde Woolman, mother, Roberta Walls Woolman, and a brother Gary Wayne Woolman. He is survived by his wife, Susan Swango Woolman of the home, children Tiffany Neill of Norman, Amanda Woolman of Vinita, Cory Ayres and wife Lacey of Vinita, Cristin Bible and husband Brad of Vinita, and Douglas Farley Jr. and wife Carles of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He is also survived by grandchildren Faith Swart Woolman, Gauge Poe, Nathaniel Neill, Peyton Ayres, Trenton Bible, Shaelyn and Tommy Oliver, Douglas Farley III, and Brandon Farley. Great grandchildren Ian Farley and Nora Farley. Brothers Eugene Woolman and Terry Woolman. Special nieces and nephews Lindsey Woolman, Hunter Woolman, Jaime Woolman, Cason Rexwinkle and Jaelynn Woolman and numerous other family and friends and his good buddy and cousin Billy Woolman. Services will be held on Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, at 10 a.m., at the Vinita First Baptist Church. Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.,Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015, at Luginbuel Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Pheasant Hill Cemetery north of Vinita. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com. Arrangements are by the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.
