Ruby Redwine, 85 year old longtime area resident, died Saturday July 10, 2010 at Rosewood Terrace in Vinita. She was born December 31, 1924 in White Oak to John J. and Ethel Belle (Heard) Dameron. Ruby had worked as a waitress, for motels and was a Senior Companion. She loved to read her romance novels, crochet and the country life. Ruby was a member of the White Oak Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, John L. "Bunk" Dameron of White Oak, a sister, Millie Cole of Poteet, Texas, her only son, Floyd "Spike" Horton of Big Cabin, her daughter, Frankie Gayle Redwine of Vinita, and a granddaughter, Jessica Markel of Bartlesville. The surviving family includes; a sister, Annie Bolton and husband James of Orlando, Florida, a sister in-law, Betty Dameron of White Oak; four daughters, Iva Willbourn of Vinita, Nancy Markel of Lacygne, Kansas, Janet "LeAnn" Kimberlin and husband Randy of Vinita, Regina Hamilton and husband Mike of Vinita; very special to her also were Michael and Denise Fagan of Tulsa; thirteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous, nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the White Oak Baptist Church, with Pastors Leland Bartlett and George Vaughn officiating.
