Ruby Marlene White 90 year-old rural Vinita resident, died Monday evening, March 16, 2009 at her home. She was born March 5, 1919 in Mena, Arkansas to Robert "Boyd" and Lula Elizabeth (Anderson) Bogle. Ruby was married to Eugene White on June 26, 1938 in Tulsa; Eugene preceded her in death on August 19, 2000. They moved to their home southeast of Vinita in 1967 from Tulsa. When in Tulsa she had worked as a cook at East Central Schools and the St. Francis Hospital laundry. Ruby was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Vinita. She was well known for her hummingbirds, she was even featured on Scott Thompson's Oklahoma Traveler television show. Ruby was also a lover of Music, Basketball, a game which she played up into her 40's, reading, crossword puzzles, fishing and camping. The family includes; her two children, Ronald Eugene White and wife Hope of Vinita, Linda Louise Wofford of Vinita, one brother Jess Bogle and wife Ophelia of California, seven grandchildren, Ronald White, Jr., Happy White and wife Shannon, Bob White and wife Candi, Terry Wofford, Danny Wofford and wife Connie, Gene Wofford and Ruby Lin Wofford, fifteen great-grandchildren, Brittany Wofford, Jerome Mayes, Katelynn Wofford, Danielle Albright and husband Ryan, Christopher Wofford and wife Lisa, Autumn Wofford, Levi Wofford, Gavin White, Jacob White, David White, Michael White, Richard White, Dylan White, Bob White, Ford McClain, Blu White, and three great-great-grandchildren, Hayden and Aria Albright, and Dameon Wofford. Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, brothers Emmett, Pete, Bob and Roy Bogle; sisters, Marie O'Bryan, Cleo Hill, Pearl Blevins and a great grandson Nathan White. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday evening at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita. The funeral service will be held Friday, March 20, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Trinity Baptist Church in Vinita, with Pastors Ryan Goodrich and Will Busch officiating.
