Ruby Williams

Ruby Margaret Williams, 89 year old Vinita resident, died late Thursday evening, December 4, 2014. She was born on October 18, 1925 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Frank and Ruby (Jayne) Gilbert. Margaret married Eldon "Red" Williams on January 15, 1946 in Independence, Kansas, he preceded her in death. She was a member of the Vinita Church of Christ. Margaret enjoyed cooking for her family, camping, traveling, puzzles, feeding the birds and playing dominoes. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, sons, Tracy and Stan Williams, brothers, Bill and Ray Gilbert and a sister, Bernice Miller. The family includes; her children, Larry Williams and wife Marie of Vinita, Michael Williams and wife Anne of Vinita, Rick Williams and wife Janie of Tulsa, Jeannie Friend and husband John of Adair; daughter in-law Judi Williams of Vinita; brother, Bob Gilbert and wife Willene of Vinita; sister in-law, Virginia Gilbert of Vinita; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Monday December 8, 2014 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. The funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at the Vinita Church of Christ, with Pastor Bob Hampton officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita.
