ARNOLD MOORE & NEEKAMP FUNERAL HOME, BARTLESVILLE, OK - Ruby Lee Zilinski, age 78 and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016, in St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma, as a result of an automobile accident. Ruby Lee Summerlin was born on February 13, 1938 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Oscar L. Summerlin and Anna Irene (Kastl) Summerlin. She was raised and received her formal schooling in various parts of Oklahoma and Arkansas. She moved with family to New Jersey, where she met her future husband. On September 30, 1961, Ruby and Valentine J. Zinlinski were married in New Jersey and they eventually relocated to the Dewey area. Five children were born to this union. Upon Mr. Zilinski's death, Ruby relocated to the Bartlesville area where she remained until her death, leaving many grand and great-grandchildren. . Ruby was employed with Bartlesville Heritage Villa Nursing Home for approximately 33 years as a Dietary Cook. In her spare time she enjoyed riding around the country, spending time with her siblings, telling stories of growing up, watching her hummingbirds and time spent with family at family get-togethers. One of her favorite past times was playing games and visiting with friends and loved ones. She loved her dogs and looked forward to giving treats to them. Survivors include her children, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Zilinski and their four children (three daughters and one son), of Front Royal, Virginia; Mr. Ronald Bennett and two children (one son and one daughter), of Bartlesville; Mr. and Mrs. David Zilinski and their two sons of Bartlesville; Miss Barbara Breese and her daughter and son of Bartlesville; and Mr. Richard Zilinski and their three children (one daughter and two sons) of Bartlesville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Valentine; daughter, Wanda M. Bennett; parents, Oscar and Irene Summerlin; and one great-grandson, Jacob Carpenter. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 25, at 2:00 PM in the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bartlesville. Rev. Shupe will be the officiant.
