Benjamin Funeral Service ~ Nowata, Oklahoma.......................................Funeral services for Russell DeWayne Foster, 63, are 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Hillside Christian Church in the Family Life Center with Van Longbons officiating. Interment will follow at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded Mr. Foster by American Legion Post 147 from Miami, OK. Russell DeWayne Foster passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Integris Mayes County Medical Center in Pryor. He was born February 3, 1952 in Borger, TX to Charles Edward and Lela Leo (Gooch) Foster. Russell moved from Borger to Delaware, Oklahoma as a young boy, completed his schooling there, graduating from Delaware High School and later attended Coffeyville Community College. Russell served in the U.S. Army, being honorably discharged in 1978. He lived in Caney, Kansas for a short time before moving to Nowata 25 years ago. Russell and Pattie attended Hillside Christian Church and he loved riding motorcycles and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He spent time working in the yard and on his house, taking great pride in his Halloween and Christmas decorations. Russell enjoyed sports and was especially good at basketball and softball. He and Patricia "Pattie" Hanlon were married on October 7, 2006 at Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Russell was a welder, employed by Dieco Manufacturing of Tulsa for the past eight years and before that was a well-thought-of employee of Dixon Mowers in Coffeyville and Standard Auto Parts, Nowata, OK Survivors include his wife Pattie of the home, seven children, Brandy Knight and her husband P.J. of Nowata, Heather Richards and her husband Kris of Nowata, Jennifer Garner and her husband James of Claremore, Adam Foster and his wife Becky of Nowata, Brett Lamb and his wife Amanda of Bartlesville, Spencer Lamb and his wife Charlee of Bartlesville, Cory Lamb of Omaha, Nebraska; two sisters, Kay Owens of Nowata, Carla "Eugene" Sykes of Delaware; two brothers, Danny Barnett of Childers, Rick Baker of Deer Creek, OK., thirteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lela Foster; his grandparents, Corbett and Mona Gooch and John and Goldie Foster; three brothers, Roger Foster, Rory Foster, Rodney Foster
