Mrs. Ruth Ann (Mason) Faulkner, 84, widow of the late Jack C. "Perk" Faulkner, died at 6:46 p.m., Sunday, November 4, 2007 in the Jane Phillips Nowata Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Faulkner will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday in the First Christian Church, 211 S. Pine St., Nowata, Oklahoma, with Reverend Rob Crawford officiating, and Deacon Dean Draper assisting. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Nowata. Services are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service, of Nowata. A memorial in remembrance of Mrs. Faulkner has been established with the 10-33 Emergency Team at 321 E. Cherokee, Nowata, Oklahoma 74048. Friends who wish may remember her in this way. The family would greatly appreciate donations going to the new building fund. Ruth Ann Faulkner was born on August 3, 1923, in Nowata, Oklahoma. She was the first born to the late Ronald S. Mason, and Ann Burt Mason. She graduated from Nowata High School and continued her education at a Girls College in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Ruthie met the love of her life, Perk Faulkner, and was married on March 13, 1942, in Nowata, Oklahoma. They had one son Patric Mason "Pat" Faulkner, born July 25, 1944 and the family resided at the Runnin F family ranch in Delaware, Oklahoma for over 50 years. Ruthie and her husband were cattle and horse ranchers and in the oil and pipeline business. They were lifetime members of the American Quarter Horse and the Oklahoma Cattlemen Associations, with Ruthie being a charter member of the "Cowbells". Mrs. Faulkner is survived by her three grandchildren; Clay Russell Faulkner, Clint Mason Faulkner, and Courtney Jane Faulkner; her daughter-in-law Jania Blum Faulkner and a great grandson Aaron Hewitt. She is also survived by her sister Janet Berry and brothers Langford Mason and Corbett Mason, nieces and nephews and a host of Loving and Caring Friends. The Faith that she shared with the members of the First Christian Church of Nowata was an important part of her life. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, son, and her in-laws Russ and Dora Faulkner, who were the first of four Faulkner generations who lived on the ranch.
