Ruth Reynolds

Ruth Mae Reynolds, age 84, a resident of Dewey died Monday evening, February 18, 2008 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville. She was born March 24, 1923 in Dewey, OK the daughter of Calvin O. Watt and Allie A. Needham Watt. She was reared and received her education in Copan, OK. She and Benjamin "Frank" Reynolds were united in marriage May 28, 1938 in Carthage, MO. During WW11 they moved to California where Frank worked at the Kaiser Ship Yard till 1947 when they returned to Copan and became owner operators of Reynolds service station and garage. She was a homemaker and member of and loved attending the First Christian Church of Dewey, and was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and cooking. Ruth is survived by one son and daughter in law Jim and Sue Reynolds of Bartlesville, a daughter and son in law Sallie and Bob Powell of Dewey, OK, , eight grandchildren, Jeremy Powell, Sharon Powell, Travis Reynolds, Brandon Reynolds, Rebecca Whittington, Katrica Driscoll, Tom Moreland and Wes Moreland, nine great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Frank Reynolds in 2007, one daughter Irene Joyce Moreland one brother and one sister. Memorial's have been established in Mrs. Reynolds name with the Cookson Hills Children's Home, those who would like to make a donation may do so, in care of the First Christian Church, 900 N. Wyandotte Dewey, OK 74029 or the Washington County SPCA 16620 State Hwy 123 Bartlesville, OK 74003 . Funeral services will be Friday February 22, 2008 at the First Christian Church in Dewey at 2:00 p.m. with Don Elliott, Leon Martin and Rev. Orville Moody officiating with interment to follow in the Dewey Cemetery under the direction of the Neekamp - Luginbuel Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
