Ruth Snider

Ruth Anna "Ruthie" Snider, 80 year old Cleora resident, passed Thursday, April 11, 2013. Ruthie was born in Coffeyville, KS on July 1, 1932 to Rufus Silas Tesh and Anna Beata (Hamilton) Tesh. She graduated from McKinley High School in Coffeyville in 1950. On December 21, 1952 she was united in marriage to Norman Gene Snider. They were married nearly 60 years. For a career she worked as an Executive Secretary with Cities Service Oil Company/Occidental Petroleum. After retiring she and Norman traveled the world many times enjoying their life to the fullest. They traveled numerous places including Germany's Rhine River, Russia and South Africa. She loved feeding the wildlife at her home and had a great passion for reading. She was a member of the Cleora Methodist Church. Her family will miss her dearly, but rejoice in knowing she is once again reunited with her beloved Normie She is preceded in death by her husband Norman on November 13, 2012, her parents, and 9 siblings. Survivors include her sister-in-law Connie Oder and Robert of Afton, OK, brother-in-law Sherril Snider and Delores of Dewey, OK, and a host of nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. Visitation will be Monday, April 15, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Cleora Methodist Church with Pastor Steven Nation officiating. Interment will follow at McLaughlin Cemetery.
