Ruthie was born on January 12, 1930 in Stratford, Texas. She was the daughter of Lewis E. and Ruthie J. (Sanders) Brannan. Ruthie has spent the last 40 in Jay, Oklahoma. She worked for a short time at the local diner and then decided to stay home with her six children and provided childcare in her home. Ruthie also served on the water council in Jay. Since 2009, Ruthie has resided at the Monroe Manor where she was very happy. They spoiled her every chance they got. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery.
