Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, 918-256-5555, -- Sammy Monroe "Charlie" Echols, Jr., 51 year old Pryor resident, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2015. He was born on March 7, 1964 in Chesapeake, Virginia to Sammy M. and Vickie Dean (Boyd) Echols. Charlie attended Ketchum Schools. He was a long time employee of Baker-Hughes in Claremore. On October 29, 1989, Charlie married Melissa Kay (Nickles) in Langley at the Christian Church. He loved animals, riding motorcycles, fishing, listening to classic rock, watching movies, NASCAR, Classic cars, the Kansas City Royal and the Kansas City Chiefs. The family includes: wife Melissa of the home, daughter, Morgan Echols of the home; parents, Sam and Vickie Echols of Spavinaw; sisters, Regina Hopper and husband Tommy, La Wanda Witt and husband Bruce all of Langley; numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a son Jordan Echols. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the First Christian Church in Langley, with Rev. Eddie Wrinkle officiating.
