Sandra Davenport

Sandra Ann (Hildebrand) Davenport 73 year old Vinita resident, passed away Monday, August 27, 2012 at her home. She was born November 22, 1938 in Miami, Oklahoma to Charles Owen Hildebrand and Nellie Irene (Shaw) Hildebrand. Sandra attended school and graduated from Centralia in 1956. On August 10, 1956 she married Duane Davenport in Welch, they had just celebrated 56 years of marriage. Sandra had worked as a school secretary at Bluejacket Schools, was a precinct worker for the election board, and had worked at the Craig General Hospital. A loving mother, grandmother and wife, she enjoyed quilting, flowers and cooking for her family. Sandra was a member of the First Baptist Church in Welch, where she had taught Children and Adult Sunday School Class for many years. The family includes: her husband Duane; children, Tamarah Lucas and husband Phil, Timothy Davenport and wife Lindy, Trenton "Rowdy" Davenport and wife Rhonda; grandchildren, LeeAnn (Lucas) Wilson, Shai Davenport, Tessa (Davenport) Longan, Dakota Davenport, Ty Davenport, Landon Lucas, Trey Davenport, Lacee Lucas; step-grandchildren, Christopher, Douglas, and Casey Rexwinkle; eleven great-grandchildren and sister in-law Jo Hildebrand. Preceding her in death were her parents, brother Charles I. "Sonny" Hildebrand, great-grandson, Blake Longan, two step-grandchildren, Ashley and Darren Rexwinkle. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday evening, August 29, 2012 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will be held Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Welch, with Pastors Sam Wilson and C. G. Gilmore officiating.
