Sheila Burger

Sheila Louise Burger, 67 year old, Jay Oklahoma resident passed away Sunday, February 20, 2011 at the Grove Integris Hospital, following an extended illness. Sheila was born on April 19, 1943 in Glendale, California, to C.D. and Alma Burger, and attended high school in Los Angeles, California. Sheila worked most of her life in retail and sales but was a small business owner, owning and operating the Jay Laundry-Mat for a number of years. Sheila enjoyed gardening especially plants and was also well known for her cooking, whether or not you were family, you were always invited to holiday meals and never left wanting for company. Sheila was preceded in death by her father C.D, Burger Sheila is survived by her mother Alma and stepfather Glenn Haessing., four daughters, Teresa Gross and husband Murray of Jay, Oklahoma, Cindy Garrison of Joplin, Missouri, Sherrie Eberle of Aurora, Colorado, and Deanna Hornback and husband Jeff of Jonesboro Arkansas, stepson Kevin Surface, and one brother Doug Burger and wife Connie of California. Sheila is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, Trent, Tabby, and Tiffany Smith, Kelli Cooper, Kristina and Taylor Gross, Jessica Garrison, Nick Fuller, Stephanie Black, Brandon, J.T. and Jennifer King, Kylie Jason and Breanna Hornback, Ashlie Payton, Jamie and Cody Surface as well as two nieces and a one nephew. A memorial service for Sheila will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday February 22, 2011 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, Oklahoma.
