Sherril was born on August 5, 1955 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Gene and Phyllis Housewright. She attended high school in Sperry, Oklahoma. Sherril enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid gardener, who enjoyed growing both vegetables as well as flowers. She also loved cooking for friends and family. Sherril is survived by her husband Jimmie of the home; parents: Gene and Phyllis Housewright of Grove, Oklahoma; siblings: Gail Elder of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Art Housewright of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Stepchildren: Debbie Miller of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Jayme Tips of Columbia, Missouri; 5 grandchildren: Kendall Gruse, Zachary Tips, Emma Tips, Abigail Tips, and Levi Tips; 2 nephews; and 4 great nieces. A memorial service for Sherril will be held 2:00 PM on Wednesday July 16, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Grove, Oklahoma. Pastor Jim Paslay will officiate.
