Sherry Dottrich

Sherry J. Dottrich, age 58 and longtime Vinita resident, died Friday May 22, 2009. She was born in Vinita on February 16, 1951 the daughter of Orville and Virginia (Hopper) Spurgeon. She graduated from Miami High School in 1969. On October 31, 1981 she was united in marriage to Joe Dottrich. They made their home in Vinita and raised two children. Sherry was a hard working woman along with being a very loving wife and mother. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and word searches, attending church at Faith Tabernacle, and taking care of her many pets. Sherry is preceded in death by her father Orville and sister Naomi Henry. Survivors include her mother Virginia Spurgeon, husband Joe Dottrich, son Travis Dottrich all of Vinita, daughter Terri Dottrich of Nashville, TN, two brothers Duke Spurgeon of Grove and Sheldon Spurgeon and wife Ruby of Miami, sister Sheila Gower and husband Steve of Miami, and granddaughter Kyla Grimes. Family will be greeting friends from 7-8 p.m. on Tuesday May 26, 2009 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday May 27, 2009 at Hickory Grove Cemetery with Reverend Viola Perdue officiating. Services will be under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
