Sheryl Lynn (Deay) Rainwater of Jay, Oklahoma, died on April 21, 2012 at home. She was born on August 22, 1946 in Bentonville, Arkansas to Thurman Russell Deay and Hazel Elizabeth (Strate) Deay who preceded her in death. Sheryl graduated from Bentonville High School in 1964 and received her Bachelor's Degree from Harding College in Searcy, Arkansas in 1968. Sheryl was married to William "Bill" Charles Rainwater on November 22, 1969 at the Church of Christ in Bentonville. She worked as a secretary for Daisy-Heddon Corporation in Rogers, Arkansas from 1968 until her daughter; Ashley Blythe was born in 1974. She and Bill then moved to Jay, Oklahoma in 1985 where she worked for the Jay Public Schools as a secretary from 1986 until 2000. She then worked for the Head Start Program from 2000 - 2004. She was employed by the State of Oklahoma, District Attorney's Office from 2004 until her retirement in 2011. She was a member of the Southside Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband Bill Rainwater of the home and their daughter, Ashley and son-in-law Richmond Malone of London, UK, one sister Janis Vandiver of Bentonville, and two grandsons, Rhett Richmond Malone and Tate William Malone both of London, UK. Honorary casket bearers will be the nieces and nephews; Dr. Paul Henry, Mark Henry and Jason Jouett of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Dr. Kathy Baltz of Little Rock, Arkansas, Jeff Jouett of Cypress, Texas and son-in-law Richie Malone of London, UK. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 PM until 8 PM, Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay, Oklahoma. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 2 PM with Mr. Steve Stenzel, Mr. Robert Lawson, Mr. Garry Brewster and Mr. Warren Shackelford officiating.
