Shirley Elizabeth (Coleman) Landrum passed away early Saturday, November 16, 2013. She was born June 11, 1926 at Choctaw, Oklahoma to John Arthur Coleman and Ola Mae (Cole) Coleman. Shirley's family moved to Okmulgee, OK when she was 3 years old and she attended Okmulgee Roosevelt Elementary School and graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1944 in the top 10% of her class. She attended Oklahoma A&M College in Stillwater and received an Associate Degree in Business and then moved to Bartlesville, OK in 1947, working as a secretary to H.E. Koopman in the Purchasing Department of Phillips Petroleum Company. After a short career, Shirley met and married Harry Howard Landrum, January 8, 1949. In 1956, they moved to Houston, TX where Mr. Landrum was associated with the Marketing Department of Phillips Petroleum Company. Two daughters were born to them, Harriet Ann and Elizabeth Kay. In 1965, the Landrums moved again to Memphis, TN and in 1972, returned to Bartlesville, where Mr. Landrum retired in 1982, after 42 years of service. In Bartlesville, the family resumed their membership at First Baptist Church, where they were active members. Through the years, Shirley enjoyed bowling, golfing, reading, loved history, playing bridge, a long membership in the Good Earth Garden Club and participating in all Women's Missionary Union activities. She is survived by her daughters, Harriet Ann and Elizabeth Kay "Beth" Burke and her husband, Stuart; grandchildren, Amy Elizabeth Vaughan, David Ed Vaughan and Amber Lynn Preuss, Andrew Michael Burke and Katherine Elizabeth Burke; great-granddaughter, Harley Grace Vaughan and good friend, Nelson Prator. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sisters, Helen Coleman Drake and Glenna Coleman Hutchinson and son-in-law, John Vaughan.
