Benjamin Funeral Service ~ Nowata, Oklahoma..................Shirley Ann (Harrison)(Murray) McMunn, 82, took the hand of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who led her into her eternal reward at 12:15 p.m., May 25, 2015, in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was born September 23, 1932 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Albert and Louella (Petit) Harrison. Shirley was a 1950 graduate of Nowata High School and was the 1949 football homecoming queen. She married Bill Murray in 1953 and to this marriage two sons Brad, and Warren were born. Shirley worked for Phillips Petroleum and Cities Service before purchasing and operating the Murray's Dari' Delight in Dewey, Oklahoma for over twenty years. Shirley also raised poodles and had a dog grooming business. She enjoyed making ceramic crafts and playing bingo was a favorite pastime. In 1977 she married Ronald McMunn who preceded her in death. Shirley is a former member of Hillside Christian Church and a current member of the Dewey Christian Church. Her last words to Brad and Warren were " I Love You." Mrs. McMunn is survived by her sons, Brad Murray and wife Susan, of Owasso, Oklahoma, Dr. Warren Murray, of Claremore, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Dr. Bryce Murray and wife Dr. Sunshine Murray, of Tulsa, Adam Murray and wife Mandy, of Owasso, Dr. Brandon Murray and wife Dr. Naomi Murray, of Tulsa, Andrea Allen and husband Tyler, of Owasso, Brittany Cox and husband Trevor, of Edmond, Oklahoma, Brett Murray and wife Bethany, of Overland Park, Kansas, Alicia Murray, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; eight great grandchildren; a brother, Bud Harrison and wife Mary Sue, of Midland, Texas; sisters, Pat Connolly and husband Harry, of Tulsa, Charlene Flickinger and husband Jim, of Nowata, Judy Baker, of Bartlesville, many other relatives and a host of friends. Preceding Mrs. McMunn in death are her parents Albert Harrison and Louella Pettit, one brother Don Harrison; and one sister, Tommy Moore. Services for Shirley McMunn will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 29, 2015, at Hillside Christian Church with Ben Killion officiating.
