Luginbuel Funeral Home Vinita, 918-256-5555……Spencer Floyd Miller, 78 year old resident of Vinita, Oklahoma, passed away on October 19, 2017 in Tulsa. Spencer was born on August 15, 1939 in Amarillo, Texas. He was the son of Joseph F. and Alice J. (Wright) Miller. Spencer attended several schools in the panhandle of Texas and Northwest Arkansas. He learned the furniture industry from his father and spent the next forty years in the business. In 1992, Spencer was united in marriage to Mary Lee Moss in Idaho. They retired in 1995 in Eastern Washington and eventually settled in Vinita, Oklahoma. Spencer loved country music, playing the guitar, and singing. He also enjoyed attending the Nazarene church and donating his time and talents performing for the local nursing home. Spencer served in the National Guard in the 142nd Battalion as an artillery driver. In 1957, he had the opportunity to drive President Eisenhower during a Governor's Inauguration in Little Rock, Arkansas. Spencer will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Lee Miller, his daughters, Lisa D'Ann Miller-Briggs, Lori Ann Riddle, Melody Dawn Miller, and Pamela R. Ridgway, and his sons Spencer Clayton Riddle and Loyd W. Parris. Spencer will also be fondly remembered by his 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, his sisters, Alice Dianne Slaughter and Zella Katherine Cook, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Alice Miller, his brothers, Joseph Wright and Charles Lloyd Miller, and a daughter, Debora Mary Jean Miller. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Friday October 27, 2017 at Church Of The Nazarene Vinita with Reverend David Stevens officiating. Interment will be 3:00 pm at St. Vincent Cemetery Rogers, Arkansas.
