Stephen Griffith

Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, 918-256-5555. Stephen Roger Griffith, of Seguin, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the age of 81. He was born in Big Cabin, Oklahoma on February 28, 1936 to Eva Irene (Davis) Goins and Guy Gilbert Griffith. He is preceded in death by his parents and step father, Raymond Goins. Stephen graduated Vinita High School in 1954. He worked as a Wal Mart Manager in Seguin, San Marcos and Gonzales. Survivors include his loving wife, Emma Jean Griffith, children, Vickie Jean Duncan, Stephen Mark Griffith and wife Teresia, Kevin Griffith and wife Michele, and Kyle Griffith and wife Jennifer; 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, siblings, Marvin Griffith and wife Sharon, Patsy Coyne, Diane Malone and husband Don and Karen Griffith, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will greet the public at Palmer Mortuary Chapel, where visiting hours will be held at on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be at the Church of Christ (1351 E. Walnut Street, Seguin, TX 78155) on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. Services will conclude at the church. Interment will follow Saturday May 27th at 3:00 P.M. at the Carselowey Cemetery in Vinita, Oklahoma. He taught us how to love by loving our mom, to be kind by thinking of others first, to laugh by telling a joke, to learn by showing us how, to work by working so very hard, to have respect for others by caring for everyone he ever met. The world is a better place because of him. He was our leader our protector, our fixer, our wrong way daddy. He has gone to join Heaven's baseball team. We will miss you now and always!
