Stephen Speer

Stephen Forrest Speer, sixty-one year old resident of Wyandotte, Oklahoma died February 11, 2008 at his home. Born on December 21, 1946 in Wellington, Kansas, he was the son of Forrest and Bernadine (Tracy) Speer. Steve married Donna Gaylord on March 21, 1981 in Wichita, Kansas. For many years Steve worked in the aircraft industry all over the country. He moved to the Grand Lake area in 2001 and began his real estate career working with his wife. Steve is preceded in death by his father Forrest Speer. Survivors include his wife, Donna; his mother Bernadine Speer; three sisters, Pat Eck and husband Matt of Wichita, Kansas, Sheila Talley and husband Phillip of Catoosa, Oklahoma, Mona Hughes and husband Larry of Colwich, Kansas; one brother James Edward Speer and wife Brandy of Winfield, Kansas; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, February 18, 2008 at the Celebration Hall at the First Christian Church at 4th and Grand in Grove. Oklahoma where memories will be shared and a meal will be provided by Century 21 Rinker. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Steve may be made to his Expense/Hospice Fund at ERA John Hausam Realtor's office in Grove.
